Taylor
Taylor Swift may be the most rare of all pop stars: an artist capable of effortlessly bridge the gap between country and pop, conquering the globe. Swift removed herself from country music like a second-skin and showed that she was the most refined pop sensibility of her generation. Swift was the only musician/singer to follow the zeitgeist of popular music out on the road. These skills were evident on her earliest hits especially the Neo-Tribute Tim McGraw but her second album in 2008's Fearless showed a writer discovering the person she really was, and in the process, finding the mass market. Fearless had a great success not only on American soil, with six platinum-certified singles. Its Top Ten songs Love Story & the hit song You Belong with Me were the main reasons for this. It also performed exceptionally well throughout the world. Swift soared to the top of stardom with Speak Now. The popularity of Swift only grew with her following three albums - Red (2012) 1989 (2014), and Reputation (2017) and Reputation in 2017 and saw her move confidently into the realm of pop that she had already been a part of. In the end, when she refocused her music with the stripped-down releases of 2020, folklore and Evermore but she was still on top. It was a position that was confirmed with the re-recordings she had made from her earlier catalogue as in Midnights which was her chart-topping synth heavy 2022 album.
