Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is a British music producer and singer. Harry Styles was one of the original members of One Direction. In Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England, Styles is the child of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles went to the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive, together with his fellow classmates, created a band group dubbed White Eskimo. The band's outstanding performances enabled them to take home their first Battle of Bands 2009. He was always interested in music but also wanted to pursue a career as a lawyer, physiotherapist or even scout. He worked for a time as a part-time baker in his city to help people financially in the home. The year was 2010. Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he sang Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. This is why his band broke up. Following the audition on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles be part of the band to be called One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in the year 2010. The band performed songs such as My Life Would Suffer Without You from Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. The group was one of the potential winners for the prize. They came third place, just behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles did not receive any cash prize. However, Cowell has offered a two million-pound contract for One Direction in order for the group to be a part of Syco Records.
