Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton, born Jan. 19, 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. to 12 hungry kids who would grow in the same household, figured out very early how to get out of the difficulties she faced with her incredibly vivid imagination. She was writing songs before she learned to read or write. The first time she picked up a guitar was at age 8 and began singing on the Knoxville Tenn radio station at the age of 11. That following the year that Gold Band Records was a tiny independent record label. In high school she was able to establish herself within the school community but her goals were bigger. After she finished her high school, in 1964, she relocated to Nashville. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Porter Wagoner had been looking for female performers for his show that was syndicated from the beginning. Parton became a member of Grand Ole Opry 1969 after signing with RCA Records. Then, in 1974, she left The Wagoner's Show due to the popularity of her own songs such as Joshua Coats from Many Colors or Jolene was way ahead of their joint release. Parton composed "I will Always Be Loving You" to Wagoner just after the pair split. The song was ranked the top spot at No. The song of Parton in 1974."I Will Always Love You" climbed to No.
